Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Ayah mobile application (the "App") operated by Ayah ("we," "our," or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Ayah is an educational Arabic learning application that helps users learn Arabic vocabulary through camera-based object identification, AI-powered translations, a structured curriculum, and Quranic connections. The App uses artificial intelligence to identify objects and provide Arabic language content.

3. User Accounts

The current version of the App does not require or support user accounts. All learning data is stored locally on your device.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier. The App offers a free tier with limited daily camera captures (3 per day) and a hearts-based energy system for quizzes (5 hearts).

Premium Subscription. Ayah Premium is available as a monthly ($4.99/month) or yearly ($29.99/year) subscription, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

  • Payment is processed through the Apple App Store and is subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions).
  • No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits built into the App.
  • Use the AI-powered features to generate content for purposes other than personal Arabic language learning.
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the App through automated means.

6. Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, curriculum content, and user interface are the intellectual property of Ayah and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Quranic text included in the App is in the public domain. Our specific presentation, translations, transliterations, and educational annotations are proprietary.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Arabic translations, object identifications, and educational content provided by the App are generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.
  • The App is an educational tool and is not a substitute for formal Arabic language instruction or scholarly Islamic education.
  • Quranic verse references and translations should be verified with authoritative Islamic sources for religious purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate or reliable.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ayah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ayah operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
